EVA Air’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner

On the 8th October 2019 Taiwan’s EVA air will be upgrading its Brisbane-Taipei route to one of the airline’s new Boeing 787 Dreamliners. The Dreamliner’s have a 1-2-1 layout which make the most of the spacious cabin with each seat reclining to a fully flat bed of 76 inches and 23 inches wide. There is a great range of storage provided for the seat including built-in storage cabinets and also a wide seat side shelf plus a large meal tray table. This seat is based on the Thompson VantageXL design that has been used for Qantas, Juneyao and Latam business class seats.  BMW Designworks made a deliberate decision to step away from conventional aircraft design and rethink the seats and the overall business class cabin based on more fundamental concepts of space.
